On Sunday PURE Union Square hosted an event with North East Blogger Events and Leighton Denny Expert Nails! We wanted to give the bloggers an insight into Leighton Denny & make them fall in love with the products just as much as we did when we launched LDEN at PURE back in 2012!

After a nibble on canapes and bubbly and tour of the spa, the bloggers were shown the hottest nail trends from Nat at Leighton Denny Expert Nails.

Nat is Leighton Denny’s right hand man and travels throughout the UK sharing Leighton’s best tips & tricks. He has also presented Leighton Denny products on QVC and helps name the polishes. The new ‘Mines a Rose‘ colour for S/S 13 was his name choice. I wonder why?! :)

Heather, PURE’s Marketing Exec took to the nail bar as the hand model (a lot of pressure!). Nat’s masterclass was brilliant and he even gave us some new nail art ideas to try in salon! Nat demonstrated all of Leighton’s signature looks including colour cocktailing & reverse french. Check out the nail techniques here….

Digital/Marketing Intern – Part time/FT during Summer 2013

Excellent internship opportunities in Marketing have arisen within a successful and innovative retail/leisure business operating in four locations throughout Scotland.

We are looking for ambitious and innovative individuals to assist with our brand communications and digital marketing strategy planning.  There may be the possibility of two internships depending on applications.

Key duties/responsibilities:

  • Manage, create & post fresh, relevant and ‘on brand’ content through blog postings, You Tube, social and digital media channels, in line with PURE’s marketing strategies.
  • Expand blogger outreach programme, sourcing new bloggers to connect with and executing existing campaign
  • Research potential digital channels be should be utilising
    • Assisting the creation of the PURE Festive 2013 campaign
    • Researching and creating products for the thriving corporate health & wellness market
    • Marketing Campaign measurement/analytics
      • Webshop Administration Tasks
      • Creating PR communications

Key skills:

  • Excellent copywriting skills and ability to produce clear, concise and on-brand copy
  • Attention to detail and enthusiasm to keep up with the latest trends and techniques in digital and social media.
  • Graphic design skills (photoshop) would be an advantage but not essential
  • Passion for beauty/fashion industry
  • Good communication skills offline & online
  • Proactive nature
  • Educated to degree level

Experience

  • Working towards a degree in Marketing or Digital related IT/Marketing degree preferred or related subjects, or related experience. Preferably in 3/4th year of study.

Location

Edinburgh (occasional travel to other locations in the group may be required)

Home working may be available depending on successful candidate and a period of probation.

“Ok, so I am maybe not a Mother, but I am certainly my Mother’s Daughter when it comes to appreciating spa and beauty treatments and therefore perfectly delighted to ‘test’ out the fabulous Mother’s Day Spa Package at PURE Spa!  My Mum has always been very much a fan of ‘me time’ (particularly when a fluffy robe is involved) and has instilled in me a love of spa and beauty therapies from an early age.

Having changed in to the fluffy robe and after sweating out toxins in the infra red sauna (I emerged resembling the colour of a lobster, thankfully it is dim lighting in the spa), you are then safely cocooned in a treatment room where you are pampered from head to toe (or toe to head in this case).  The foot treatment leaves your feet feeling soft, your facial and eye treatment is tailored to your skin needs and if further persuasion to unwind is required then the head massage will certainly achieve that.  Oh and did I mention that the treatment bed was heated?!
